very spooky story...

Once upon a spooky night, I was sitting in a warm and cozy cave. I had a nice fire going. And was just about to go to sleep when a startling noise broke the silence. It sounded like a woosh, like a forest spirit had just appeared, and then disappeared within a second.

I went outside to see what the mysterious noise was. When I arrived, there was nothing there.I was just about to go back inside, when I stepped on something. It felt like an old piece of paper.

I picked it up and brought it to the fire, it read;

“Deep in the woods there is a lake

And upon the shore there’s nothing

Under the water it might quake

Then out will come a thinkling”

I stood in amazement, but I didn’t know exactly what to think. I mean it's not everyday you find a mysterious piece of paper. I sat and thought; was this some kind of trick, or was it an actual important thing. And if I did try to find the lake, was I being stupid, or was I being grand. I didn’t know so I decided to go to sleep and think about it again in the morning.

I tried falling asleep for about an hour, but I just couldn’t. I was too curious about what I had found. I tried going deeper into my cave, It didn’t work. I knew I couldn’t go out now because of wolves and other animals. It was just too dangerous.

Then I decided something, I would go outside and start looking for the lake. There would be lots of animals in the forest until I got to the dark forest. You see, the dark forest is a forest that is always dark even on the brightest of days, nothing is light.
